New Film - "Why Wal-Mart Works and Why That Makes Some People Crazy"

Indie filmmaker Ron Galloway has just completed a movie titled "Why Wal-Mart Works and Why That Makes Some People Crazy" It should be available to purchase November 15. The filmmaker has his own blog here.

It will be a nice juxtaposition to another new film coming out at about the same time called "Wal-Mart: The High Cost of Low Prices." You can imagine which viewpoint that movie will be espousing. That film is set to be shown at 3,000 churches, colleges, and community centers nationwide on November 14. PARD is apparently planning a showing in Pullman, probably at the United Church of Christ, as that church has now vehemently come out against Wal-Mart with it's Wal-Mart Week of Action that will begin November 13.

I will purchase "Why Wal-Mart Works and Why That Makes Some People Crazy" and try to arrange for a public screening here in Pullman as well. It's all about diversity, right?

Tom, I can't imagine they are going to show it at a church. Judging by their recent letter it could be a stretch.

UCC {United Christ Church]coming out against WALMART nationally is no surprise as UCC is noted for it's left side of the road policies. It makes perfect sense for PARD's affilliation and choice of meeting place to be located in the "Community Congressional Church/UCC" United Christ Church's local ministry in Pullman.

SHW#1, if you click on the link "Wal-Mart Week of Action" in the post, you'll see that the United Church of Christ is definitely a PARD-approved, applauded and saluted kind of church. I'm sure that's why they hold all their weekly meetings there.

PARD is operating within a national movement. They care nothing about Pullman or our future. Their agenda is to win nationally, for reasons that have nothing to do with Pullman. I urge the citizens of Pullman to personally take a public stand against PARD and their social engineering.

Ray had the courage to do just that and no one ate him. Our side has the right to freedom of expression, too. Groups that intimidate, like PARD, get their power from our silent fear. Every time someone stands up against them, they get a little weaker. If enough people stand up, they will go away.

Congrats Ron. And thanks for taking a real life view of Wal-Mart. The anti Wal-Mart logic is merely a propaganda machine at peak operating levels.

What a generous gesture Ron Galloway has made! My kind of guy. I know now what to buy my grown children as stocking stuffers this year. Ron's movie.

Thanks for the info Tom. I guess Burma Williams hit it on the head when she said they would tell us what church we can and cannot attend.
